Small Business Marketing Tips Disclaimer

Small Business Marketing Tips is a free resource site for business owners to find knowledge and support with their marketing. A common question I often get asked is why do you offer everything for free? And it’s usually followed up with how do you make money?

So I’m creating this page to answer how is Small Business Marketing Tips funded and why it matters to you!

Why is Small Business Marketing Tips Free?

As a small business, you often don’t have a large budget to spend on tools, training or outsourcing. However, those things are crucial for success.

I started Small Business Marketing Tips in 2023 with a single goal: create marketing training that is easy to understand and, most importantly, 100% free.

My goal is to help small businesses compete with the big guys.

Simply put, I created Small Business Marketing Tips to offer users what I wish I had when I first started out.

How Is Small Business Marketing Tips Funded?

I have always believed in being honest and transparent with my audience. In my opinion, that’s the only way to build a community.

Running a website like Small Business Marketing Tips requires significant investment. Both on the server infrastructure part as well as on the content creation part.

So yes, I have to make money; otherwise, I would have to shut the site down. Below are two primary sources that fund Small Business Marketing Tips.

My Products

Whilst not ready yet, I am in the process of creating several low-cost trainings for business owners who want to increase their marketing knowledge past just the free content.

It is my plan to keep these as low cost as possible; however, the sales of these will help support the continued growth of Small Business Marketing Tips.

Referral Fees

I earn referral fees when you buy services from companies that I recommend.

However, I only recommend products that I believe will add value to my readers. I thoroughly test and use all products that I recommend. All opinions are my own, and I do not accept payments for positive reviews.

This monetisation method is called affiliate marketing. The biggest brands on the internet offer affiliate programs such as Amazon, eBay, Google, etc. Many of your favourite sites use affiliate marketing to pay the bills.

The only difference is that not everyone tells their users how they make money.

Sometimes, you will see banner ads; other times, you will see a special link unique to each website that tracks referrals.

When you click on these links, you are tagged with a special cookie to track the referral. If you end up buying the product, then they pay me a referral fee.

The referral fees vary for each product. For a helpful book that you may buy at Amazon, I might earn £1. For a premium software service, I might earn £10.

Question #1 – Will it Cost Me More Money?

No, absolutely not. And where possible, my deals may actually save you money.

Question #2 – Do You See My Personal Details?

Nope. I don’t see any personal information, i.e. name, email, address, credit card, etc.

The only thing I see is that an anonymous user made a purchase on the date/time and which product they bought.

How Can You Help Me?

Sites like Small Business Marketing Tips take a lot of investment to operate.

That’s why I need your help. Below are few ways you can help me:

  • Purchase my premium short courses if you think they’ll be useful and when available.
  • If you’re thinking of buying a product, then please buy it using a Small Business Marketing Tips referral link.
  • If you’re using a product that I recommend, then please leave your review in the comments to help others.
  • Spread the word by sharing Small Business Marketing Tips with your friends and family on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

Why Should You Help Me?

There are thousands of so-called “experts” selling marketing training for obscene amounts of money – many of which you can find for free here at Small Business Marketing Tips.

There are also tons of bloggers who write fake positive reviews without ever testing the product/service only because they want to make a quick referral fee.

All my articles are free because my goal at Small Business Marketing Tips is to level the playing field for small businesses so they can grow and compete with the big organisations with massive budgets.

If you’ve found Small Business Marketing Tips to be helpful, then I hope that you will help support me so I can continue working towards my mission.

Thank you for your support.
